This list, primarily intended for JLD members, is open to everyone interested in J<>E translation/interpretation and is intended primarily but not exclusively for the dissemination of information related to the JLD.

U.S. antitrust laws prohibit discussion of rates among association members.

List members who post prohibited messages will generally be warned for the first offense, have posting privileges suspended for at least 3 days for the second offense, and be permanently removed from the list for any subsequent violation. (Serious offenses may result in immediate termination of privileges.)

Derogatory comments and personal attacks are also not permitted.

The Honyaku mailing list is the most active J<>E translators list with almost 2,000 members. (See http://www.crossroads.net/honyaku/index.php.)

The Japan-based Japan Association of Translators runs an active list for translation-related messages. JAT membership is required. (See http://www.jat.org.)
