Procedures for ATA Meetings of Voting Members

Procedures for Resolutions to be Presented at the Annual Meeting of Voting Members

1. Article XI of the Bylaws of the American Translators Association, Inc., charges the Board of Directors to adopt procedures for the transaction of business at the Annual Meeting of Voting Members, which would include the introduction of resolutions.

2. Voting Members may submit resolutions for consideration at the Annual Meeting of Voting Members to the Board of Directors at least 90 days before the scheduled date of such meeting, in order to allow timely notification to all members of the Association of matters to be considered.

3. The Board of Directors may submit resolutions to the Annual Meeting of Voting Members at any time provided it allows for timely notification to all members of the Association of the matter to be considered.

4. The chair of the Annual Meeting of Voting Members will set and announce a time limit for discussion of each resolution and for each individual discussant.
