Gonz\u00e1lez Meade, M.A. is an audiovisual translation and quality control specialist with over 25 years of experience in leading United States-based major studios and content-processing companies. She has tens of thousands of translated and reviewed program hours under her belt for broadcasting, DVD, Blu-ray, and streaming media found on content from Netflix, Amazon, HBO, Fox, Disney, Apple TV+, and the big screen. As a subtitling and dubbing adaptation tutor and educator, she has taught dubbing as a tutor at University College London, audiovisual translation at Universidad de Antioquia; and audiovisual translation &amp; localization as a professor at California State University Long Beach. She speaks at annual conferences and international events. She is part of the original quality assurance Latin American Spanish team at Netflix since 2014. She holds a Master of Arts in Translation Studies from the University of Portsmouth and is certified by the Universitat de Barcelona on Spanish Proofreading and Style. As Territory Manager for Latin America at Pixelogic Media, she managed Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese and is presently the Spanish Lead PM at International Digital Center New York. She was a member of the Translation Company Division Leadership Council from 2021 to 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2021, she has been a member of the Audiovisual Division Leadership Council, where she helps keep members informed about new technologies, trends, and best practices. In addition to her work at DeepFocus, she has knowledge and experience in dubbing, acquired during her time in Venezuela. Her subtitling, closed captioning and dubbing script translation work can be seen on most of the major streaming platforms, as well as on some major TV networks and independent outlets. She also offers police\/legal transcription and market\/marketing research translation services. Lahoucine is an ATA student member and was previously the Translation and PR Coordinator for the ReachSci Society at Cambridge University. For the past seven years, he has worked as a freelancer in subtitling, subtitle quality checking, and Arabic localization project management.
