Notable distinctions also exist between spoken and written forms. This CLD Cafe session seeks to demystify Traditional Chinese characters by first exploring the origins of the Chinese language. She is an ATA voting member. Gene is engaged in intercultural and interdisciplinary research in music and translation. She has presented her papers at international conferences around the world. Furthermore, her research draws attention to the historical and cultural significance of traditional languages, songwriting and song translation.
