\nThe Albertine Translation Fund & Prize (formerly known as the French Voices Awards) rewards both American translators and publishers for translations of works that have been published in France in the last 10 years. Recipients are selected by a committee of independent professional experts. Each awarded book receives $2,000 toward publishing expenses, plus up to 50% of translation costs, capped at $5,000. Each year, the committee also selects one book to be awarded the Albertine Translation Prize, which receives $5,000 to be allocated to the translator. \nVilla Albertine and the Institut Fran\u00e7ais help American publishers offset the cost of acquiring the rights to French works. Grant beneficiaries are selected by the Institut Fran\u00e7ais. The amount awarded cannot exceed the amount of the advance paid to the French publisher for the acquisition of rights and varies from \u20ac500 to \u20ac5,000.<\/p>\n
\nThe PEN\/Heim Translation Fund promotes the publication and reception of translated international literature in English through grants.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
