The Interpreters Division\u2019s Nominating Committee is pleased to announce that the ID will be selecting an Administrator and Assistant Administrator in 2012. The term for both positions is two years.<\/p>\n
Division Administrator and Assistant Administrator candidates shall be selected from the Division membership by the Nominating Committee. Preference shall be given to candidates with previous involvement in the activities of the Division\u2019s Leadership Council. This is in accordance to the ATA Governing Policy for Divisions: https:\/\/www.atanet.org\/divisions\/governing_policy_2011.pdf<\/p>\n
Officers of the ID must be members of the Interpreters Division and voting members of ATA. Please consider submitting your name or that of another ID member to serve your division in one of these ID administrative positions. You can do so by sending an email to: ID_Nomination2012@yahoogroups.com no later than March 01, 2012.<\/p>\n
Administrator
\nThe Administrator shall be the principal representative of the Division and shall serve as the communications liaison between the Division, the ATA Board of Directors, and Headquarters. The Administrator may delegate specific duties to members of the Division Leadership Council. In addition, the Administrator shall keep all Division records and shall work to maintain communication of the Leadership Council. The Administrator must be a member of the Interpreters Division and a voting member of the Association.<\/p>\n
Assistant Administrator
\nThe Assistant Administrator assists the Administrator and assumes the duties of the Administrator in his or her absence. The Assistant Administrator must be a member of the Interpreters Division and a voting member of the Association.<\/p>\n
Serving in a division leadership role provides enormous opportunities, both professionally and personally. Division officers frequently find themselves becoming more successful in their own careers as they develop additional skills, make useful business connections, and share ideas with other division members.<\/p>\n
