Copresenting is an option. It provides you with\ncolleagues to discuss things all the way through the preparation phase. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, if you\nwant that coveted speaker ribbon, it is time to submit your own proposal! Over 150 sessions are offered, but the conference planning team typically receives three times as many proposals as they can accept. Therefore, please prepare your proposal carefully. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. See what ATA Interpreters may find relevant by reviewing the 2015 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ata-divisions.org\/ID\/wp-content\/uploads\/reports\/Survey-ATA-ID-May-2015-Report-Board-Graphics-10222015.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">ATA Interpreters Division Survey<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Review\nproposals and bios from the interpreting tracks of the last few years. This\nwill show you the type of writing that makes a proposal ring and sing to win,\nthe type of topics that have been accepted, and you might get inspired. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.atanet.org\/conf\/2018\/sessions\/?track=18ATA-ANNUAL-4920&amp;token=395015f5f9494b96299ca49666e04400\" target=\"_blank\">59th ATA Annual Conference<\/a><\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.atanet.org\/conf\/2017\/byspecial\/#I\" target=\"_blank\">58th ATA Annual Conference<\/a><\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.atanet.org\/conf\/2016\/byspecial\/#I\" target=\"_blank\">57th ATA Annual Conference<\/a> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.atanet.org\/conf\/2017\/byspecial\/#I\" target=\"_blank\">\ufeff<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Draft your proposal. There is an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atanet.org\/webinars\/ataWebinar133_proposals.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"online webinar (opens in a new tab)\">online webinar<\/a> to guide you through the process, but you can also ask someone who has presented in the last few years to review your proposal and give you some ideas. They might ask for your feedback too! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Follow the tips in the <a href=\"https:\/\/tools.eventpower.com\/speaker_management\/index\/19ATA-ANNUAL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"proposal guidelines (opens in a new tab)\">proposal guidelines<\/a> carefully. You will be judged by each one of them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After March\n1, sit back and wait!
