The ILD currently counts 350+ members and is organized through the volunteer efforts of its officers and leadership council. The ILD holds quarterly virtual events via Zoom and gathers annually at the ATA conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Leadership Council comprises the elected officers of the ILD and other volunteers with specific titles, as well as members at large. If you are interested in sharing your talents and skills by serving on the Leadership Council, please contact one of the administrators!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Administrator:<\/strong> Sarah Schneider sarah@softest.com<\/a> The ATA offers a certification credential for translators working from Italian>English and English>Italian. The certification test is offered remotely and at in-person sittings, from April through the ATA Conference in October. For more info, consult the ATA certification program page<\/a>. Certified ATA members use the “CT” designator after their name, and are searchable in the ATA language services directory<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ILD was organized in 1999 in accordance with the ATA Bylaws and operates per ATA’s Governing Policy for Divisions<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
