Mikoto Araki<\/strong> is originally from Kumamoto, Japan and began her career in translation and interpreting in her 20s while living, studying, and working at a Japanese construction company in Beijing as an in-house Mandarin-Japanese translator and interpreter.<\/p>\n

She was captivated by Australia\u2019s natural beauty and relocated there in 1992. Since 1997, she has worked as a NAATI Certified Translator and Interpreter for English and Japanese.<\/p>\n

Outside of work, she is passionate about sustainability and serves as a permaculturist and community cook. Whether in the kitchen or tending to her garlic patch, she strives to maintain a healthy work-life balance.<\/p>\n
