Working from home has many benefits, but it can sometimes feel a little isolating. That\u2019s why the Law Division created our virtual coworking sessions: to give members dedicated time to focus on their work while being surrounded by a supportive community of colleagues.<\/p>\n
Our latest LawD coworking session was another great opportunity for members to come together, make progress on their goals, and connect with other legal translators and interpreters.<\/p>\n
For many members, coworking sessions may be a new concept. Before we started, we introduced the idea of virtual coworking and explained how the session would work.<\/p>\n
The goal is simple: everyone joins the Zoom room, shares what they plan to work on, spends focused time working independently, and then comes back together at the end to share progress, wins, and ideas.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s a chance to work alongside colleagues\u2014even when we are all working from different locations.<\/p>\n
To help participants get the most out of the time together, we shared resources to help them plan their session.<\/p>\n

\u27a1\ufe0f You can download the slide showing the task ideas here: Coworking Worksheet – June 5, 2026<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n These tools helped participants arrive with a clear plan and use the session time intentionally.<\/p>\n During the coworking session, we used the Pomodoro Technique to create a balance between focused work and short breaks.<\/p>\n The session included: During each focus block, members worked independently on their own projects while enjoying the motivation that comes from working alongside others. The short break gave everyone a chance to recharge, chat, and get ready for the next round of focused work.<\/p>\n Sometimes, having a dedicated time on the calendar\u2014and knowing others are working alongside you\u2014is exactly the motivation needed to finally complete those tasks that have been waiting on your list.<\/p>\n While productivity is a big part of these events, connection is just as important.<\/p>\n Participants had the opportunity to introduce themselves, share their language pairs, areas of specialization, and contact information.
