She worked as a corporate paralegal at an international law firm for six years in New York and S\u00e3o Paulo, focusing primarily on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act compliance. She is now a translator and interpreter based in New York City, specializing in legal, business, and academic translations. She has a certificate in English to Portuguese translation from New York University and is ATA-certified for Portuguese to English.<\/p>\n<p>So, how about becoming a speaker at ATA65 Portland? A native of S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil, she currently lives in Washington, DC, and loves a life in languages, traveling and music. She&#8217;s certified by the ATA, and a member of AIIC and TAALS.
