Portland, Oregon\u2019s largest city, is no exception. Even more so when summer shifts to fall \u2014 the multicolor foliage and greenery contrasted with the snow-capped Mount Hood in the backdrop is striking. Besides, Downtown Portland is said to have the most gorgeous sunsets.<\/p>\n<p>Eclectic, easy-going and artsy, Portland embraces nature, welcomes diversity and creativity, and offers reasonably affordable activities and attractions for every taste. Packed with parks and trails with breathtaking views, the city is particularly appealing for the outdoorsy, offering an open invitation for light hiking. It is also one of the most eco-friendly and bike-friendly places in the country, with hundreds of miles of biking paths.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-2128\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ata-divisions.org\/PLD\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Downtown-Portland-300x180.jpg\" alt=\"Downtown Portland\" width=\"317\" height=\"190\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ata-divisions.org\/PLD\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Downtown-Portland-300x180.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ata-divisions.org\/PLD\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Downtown-Portland-768x462.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.ata-divisions.org\/PLD\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Downtown-Portland.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 317px) 100vw, 317px\" \/>Within walking distance of the Convention Center and the conference hotel, there\u2019s the famous Steel Bridge, from which you can access the classic downtown route along the Willamette River and enjoy views of the city\u2019s bridges and the downtown skyline. The Waterfront Park Trail and a floating walkaway are among the main attractions of the route.<\/p>\n<p>Also, across the river, either a 20-minute walk or a 4-minute ride from the Convention Center, there\u2019s the Old Town Chinatown, a must-visit neighborhood. Not far from there you will find the lively Pearl District \u2014 an approximately 30-minute walk \u2014 filled with art galleries, charming boutiques, caf\u00e9s and restaurants, and the iconic bookstore Powell&#8217;s City of Books.<\/p>\n<p>Deemed one of the craft beer capitals of the US, Portland is famous for its countless microbreweries \u2014 a city does not earn the nickname \u2018Beervana\u2019 for no reason, right?
