I have just started doing interpreting work and have been networking in pursuit of translation jobs.<\/p>\n Something you\u2019re proud of: <\/em><\/strong>Coming to New York City to pursue a career\u00a0in the arts is a definite feather in the cap.<\/p>\n A bit of your background:<\/em><\/strong> I am originally from Brazil and have a bachelor\u2019s degree in Law. I graduated from the Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting in New York City and have earned my brown belt in Brazilian jiujitsu from Marcelo Garcia (NYC). I am currently finishing the Professional Certificate in Translation and Interpreting at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.<\/p>\n How long have you been with ATA and PLD? <\/em><\/strong>I joined both three months ago.<\/p>\n What did ATA membership and\/or the PLD bring to you?<\/em><\/strong> I\u2019ve gained a lot of visibility and have been contacted by numerous language agencies and a few direct clients.<\/p>\n Current project (or last\/future interesting project\/activities):\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>I\u2019m progressing towards improving my interpreting and translating skills and gaining more experience in the field.<\/p>\n A major challenge(s) in your career:\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Right now, getting consistent interpreting and translation work is posing quite a challenge.<\/p>\n Do you have any hobbies?
