Our Leadership Council members have compiled photos that some of our colleagues took at ATA\u2019s 55th Annual Conference in Chicago last November.<\/p>\n

The album has photos of the Division Open House, the PLD annual meeting, the PLD party, some of the PLD educational sessions and PLDeiros in general. It\u2019s good to see a bunch of smiles and remember the great vibes that surrounded these events.<\/p>\n

Now that we\u2019ve taken a quick trip to the past, it\u2019s time to start planning and looking forward to sunny Miami and ATA\u2019s\u00a056th Annual Conference<\/a>.<\/p>\n

BIANCA BOLD<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0holds an M.A. in Translation Studies from York University (Canada). She has been working with Portuguese, English, Spanish and Italian since 2000, offering mainly translation, editing, subtitling and courses in subtitling. She is originally from Recife and has been in Toronto since 2007. Bianca is a partner at\u00a0Scriba Tradu\u00e7\u00f5es e Assessoria Lingu\u00edstica<\/a>, based in Brazil, and the owner of\u00a0Bold Language Services<\/a>, based in Canada. She has been attending the ATA conferences since 2010 and volunteering for the PLD since 2012 \u2013 it\u2019s her way of showing gratitude for all the benefits obtained throughout years of membership. She is the current Assistant Division Administrator and has also helped the PLD with its social media outreach efforts, website, blog posts, newsletter design and a variety of tasks within the Leadership Council. Bianca is the co-organizer of an independent event in our field:\u00a0Portuguese Translators and Interpreters Conference \u2013 PorTIC.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
