I\u2019m ATA-certified in EN&gt;PT and also work with Italian, German, French and Spanish.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I\u2019m most proud of:<\/strong><br \/>\nBeing \u201cmyselfie.\u201d I try not to be proud and just BE. I love what I do. I\u2019m a happy person and that\u2019s enough\u00a0\ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><strong>My background:<\/strong><br \/>\nInternational business administration and marketing. I worked for global business and technology companies in various countries (and continents) while developing my independent career in translation, localization and interpreting services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why do I belong to PLD?<\/strong><br \/>\nI also belong to other ATA divisions, but PLD is \u201ca minha praia\u201d (translation attempt: my cup of tea). It\u2019s where I have the honor of meeting and interacting with wonderful colleagues and where I\u2019ve made great friends.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Major challenges in my career:<\/strong><br \/>\nI can\u2019t really pinpoint major challenges. I might have had small and frequent challenges. As language professionals, we are in the business of solving problems (big and small). Once solved, they are no longer challenges. Hopefully we learn from them and move on.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What I\u2019m reading now:<\/strong><br \/>\nIn Portugal, where I am right now:\u00a0<em>A chave de Salom\u00e3o<\/em>, by Jos\u00e9 Rodrigues dos Santos, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/1bNCC32\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Sie haben ein sch\u00f6nes Gesicht<\/em><\/a>, by my friend Bernd Bierbaum. This will most likely be my next literary project.
