Anne Chemali has worked as an English to French technical translator for over 30 years, currently based in Cleveland, Ohio. Born and raised in France, she earned a degree in textile and chemical engineering in 1989. In the 2000s, she also completed master’s-level coursework in applied linguistics at Kent State University.

Anne currently serves as Vice President of NOTA. While her primary focus has always been her freelance career, she has quietly mentored several linguists who are now successful professionals. Joining the division’s Leadership Committee three years ago marked the beginning of an upskilling journey for her. After developing advanced prompt-writing skills using CotranslatorAI, a tool that integrates seamlessly with any CAT tool, she is now actively rebranding with the support of a marketing coach.
