Jose Palomino-Perez, Founder & Lead Linguist @ CryptoTranslates in San Francisco, is a localization and language-technology professional based in San Francisco, with over seven years of experience working at the intersection of linguistics and AI-supported workflows. His professional background includes contributions to multilingual and language-quality initiatives for large technology organizations such as Google, Apple, Disney Streaming Services, Microsoft, and Amazon.

He holds a combined BA and MFA in English and German Language and Literature, as well as a certificate in Data Science. His work focuses on the practical application of language technologies, including LLM evaluation, data annotation, hybrid MT and human review workflows, and quality assessment methodologies. His areas of interest include applied NLP, localization automation, and the evolving role of linguists within AI-driven production environments.

Jose is an active member of the American Translators Association and participates in the Language Technology Division’s ongoing discussions and initiatives related to language technology and professional practice.
