Elizabeth Herron-Sweet
Division Administrator
As Division Administrator, Liz is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Law Division, including member communications, strategic planning, and division activities. She also serves as the voice of the Law Division, representing it at the ATA Division meetings and in Board Reports. Liz plays a key role in hosting LawD events, ensuring that the division’s goals are met and fostering a collaborative environment where members connect and engage in meaningful legal translation and interpreting discussions.

Monique Longton
Assistant Administrator
Monique supports Liz in managing the Law Division’s operations and plays a critical role in hosting the LawD events. In addition to her duties, she leads the division’s Marketing Work Groups, helping members develop effective marketing strategies to promote their services in the legal translation and interpreting fields. Monique is also actively involved in organizing and facilitating events that provide value to the division’s members, ensuring their continuous professional growth and networking opportunities.

Arnold Winter
Leadership Council Member and Listserv Moderator
Arnold is responsible for moderating the Law Division’s Listserv group via Groups.io, which serves as an essential communication platform for members. Not only does he keep members updated on division events and news, but the Listserv also acts as a space where members actively interact—asking questions, finding collaborators, and discussing trends within the legal translation and interpreting fields. Arnold ensures the discussions remain relevant, engaging, and informative, fostering a supportive environment for professional exchange and growth.

Dmitry Beschetny
Leadership Council Member and Social Media Manager
Dmitry is responsible for managing the Law Division’s social media strategy. Leadership Council Member and Training Coordinator

Caroline Kyung Ha Kim
Leadership Council Member and Interpreting Liaison
Caroline serves as the go-to expert for all legal interpreting-related matters within the Law Division. She is responsible for reviewing training proposals and resources hosted by the division that focus on legal interpreting topics. Caroline ensures that these training materials are relevant and beneficial for the professional development of our members. She also provides guidance on best practices in court and conference interpreting, helping to uphold high standards in the field.

Katja Gugelmeier
Leadership Council Member and Blog Coordinator
Katja is responsible for managing the BlawG, which serves as a space where LawD members and visitors can find relevant content from experts in the field, stay updated on LawD events, and access the latest news in legal translation, legal interpreting, law topics, and the business of legal T&I. Katja actively seeks out potential collaborators, coordinates with them to submit drafts, and works with the Leadership Council to review, refine the content, and prepare articles for publication.
