ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Jason Knapp is a federally certified court interpreter, ATA-certified translator, and conference interpreter rostered with the U.S. Department of State.
He is active in several professional associations and currently serves on committees for both NAJIT and the ATA.
WHAT TO EXPECT
In this beginner-level webinar, Jason will introduce interpreters and translators to the principles, practices, and professional standards of forensic transcription and translation.
Participants will learn what is involved in transcribing and translating audio evidence, learn how to identify key differences in the various types of court-ready deliverables, and consider examples of ethical and legal issues unique to forensic contexts.
