At ATA62, volunteers are needed to moderate conference sessions.

In the document ATA62 Call for Session Moderators, you can read more about what moderators do and how to sign up.

Please note that moderators must be registered for ATA62 and must attend in person, even though the conference is hybrid.

Last call for ATA62 presentation proposals – deadline March 1

February 28, 2021 By ATA-NDiv

We are now sending out a last call for presentation proposals for ATA’s 62nd Annual Conference, October 27-30, 2021. This conference is expected to be hybrid (in-person/online). The Conference Organizer is looking for relevant, original content that will provide attendees information they can use to build, grow, and manage a translation or interpreting business.

Why submit a proposal?

The ATA Annual Conference attracts 1,500 attendees, bringing together translators, interpreters, educators, project managers, and company owners. Making a presentation to such a diverse audience is an excellent way to build your reputation and résumé, widen your networking circle, and position yourself as an expert in your field! This is a great opportunity to spread your knowledge and gain recognition as an industry leader.

How to prepare your submission?

Advance call for ATA62 conference speaker nominations

December 1, 2020 By ATA-NDiv

Greetings, Nordic Division members!

ATA62 will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Oct. 27–30, 2021.

With the upper Midwest a hub of Nordic culture in the United States, the Division hopes to field a strong slate of presentation proposals.

While the formal ATA process for registering proposals has not yet started, we invite all ND members to send suggestions for topics and/or speakers to our individual addresses (below) and to divisionnd@atanet.org. The deadline is sooner than you think, and we want to be able to get a head start on planning!

We are looking for the following:

  • Your own session proposals. You don’t need to be an expert. You just need to share what you know with your colleagues!
  • Suggestions for topics. Even if you cannot present on the topic – maybe someone knows someone who can!
  • Suggestions for individuals/institutions that might be good sources of Distinguished Speaker candidates. If you have any
connections, let us know, because a personal invitation always works best.

If you want to discuss your idea with us, don’t hesitate to reach out.

We look forward to your input!
