Session Description:
Cryptocurrency, blockchain, and Web3 are reshaping global finance and technology, but their terminology can be complex and ever-evolving. This session will break down essential crypto-related concepts, providing translators with the tools to accurately translate and localize content in this fast-growing field. From key terms like “DeFi” and “staking” to understanding whitepapers and regulatory language, attendees will gain practical insights into handling specialized terminology with confidence. Whether you work in financial, legal, or technical translation, this session will equip you with the knowledge needed to stay ahead in the world of digital assets. Some examples of translation may be provided in Chinese.
Presenter Bio:
Lenny Yang, CT, is an ATA-certified English-to-Chinese translator, a Mandarin court interpreter in the New York State Unified Court System, and a certified healthcare interpreter (CCHI) in Mandarin-to-English. With over a decade of expertise working as a freelancer based in New York City, he has successfully cultivated a diverse portfolio of clients across legal, technology, healthcare, financial, educational, and governmental sectors, leveraging his linguistic skills and cultural insights to meet their specific communication needs. He has a master’s degree in technical communication and localization from the University of Strasbourg.
