The advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) will revolutionize (if it hasn’t already) the translation and interpreting industry. This session will explore the use of ChatGPT and other AI tools to prepare for legal interpreting assignments and teach legal interpreting. The presenter will discuss the benefits and limitations of AI tools, share practical tips on how to use ChatGPT and other AI tools effectively, and examine case studies of successful integration of AI tools in legal interpreting practice. Join us for a stimulating discussion on how AI can enhance the quality and efficiency of our work.
Those who attend the Zoom session live on March 2nd will be eligible for 1 ATA-approved CE point.
Presenter:
Tianlu Redmon is a legal interpreter and translator. She is experienced in interpreting high-stakes cases in court and in depositions. She is a Texas Master Licensed Court Interpreter for Mandarin and approved to interpret in U.S. federal courts. Tianlu is also an ATA-certified English to/from Chinese translator and a grader and Language Chair of ATA’s English-to-Chinese certification exam. She regularly speaks at ATA and other conferences on topics related to legal interpreting and translation.
