NORDIC DIVISION WORKSHOP – JOIN US ON MARCH 21
ND will hold an online event on March 21, 2023. This time, we’re trying something new: a translation slam! Participants will jointly translate a short passage (about 100 words) from Swedish, Danish and Norwegian into English and then compare renditions. Veterans of the ND enjoyed these workshops at the ATA conference long before Zoom made them possible online. We hope you’ll join us for a fun, informal hour chatting with colleagues, and learning new translation skills and strategies.
When: March 21, 9 am PT (12 pm ET, 6 pm CET)
Where: Zoom (limited to 100 participants)
Length: 90 minutes
Host/moderator: David Rumsey
How to join: Please RSVP by Friday March 17 at 6 pm PT to divisionND@atanet.org to receive a link to the meeting. The link will be sent out on March 17, immediately after registration closes, to those who RSVP. In the email you will also find the source text if you like to prepare your translation before we meet to discuss. Watch your inbox (and your spam box).
We hope to see you on March 21!
