In August, the U.S. Department of Justice, together with other federal agencies, released new guidance to help emergency preparedness, response, and recovery providers to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. The new resources include:
- Emergency Preparedness Guidance
- Tips and Tools for Reaching Limited English Proficient Communities in Emergency Preparedness
- Checklist for Recipients of Federal Financial Assistance
The Guidance documents are posted on the websites of each agency, and FEMA has added a civil rights section to its website.
