Translators in the Spotlight – How to give a successful reading – Part 1

As translators, we spend a lot of time seated comfortably in front of our computers, surrounded by the books we love, far from the spotlight. So what happens when we are called upon to stand in front of a crowd and give a public reading of our translations?

Join fellow translators and seasoned performers Arwen Dewey and Andrea Nemeth-Newhauser for a two-part webinar. Session one will explore tried and true strategies for dealing with stage fright, engaging your audience, and showing your work to best advantage. Session two will be an opportunity for participants to present a short excerpt of their own translation work to the group, and receive valuable feedback and suggestions.
