ATA Interpreters Division

Letter to Members – May 2019

Conference season is coming up. We expect some of you to be attending conferences and meetings such as NAJIT, NCIHC, and others. We look forward to catching up with you at ATA60! As we get closer to that date, we will let you know how we plan to connect with you.

How are we connecting with you, our members?

New! Conference Call Mid-year Meeting!

Saturday, June 29, at 8:30 am Pacific, 11:30 am Eastern.

Click here to register: https://attendee.gototraining.com/r/4921722307666907137

Registration required.

The Administrators and the members of the Leadership Council invite the members of the ATA Interpreters Division to join us in a conference call. We will report on the work we have done, let you know about our current projects, and listen to your feedback.

We launched Interpreter Connections (see below), a series of in-person gatherings of local interpreters across the country. We also want our Leadership team to meet with you.

Credentialed Interpreters Update

Interpreters who are listed as Credentialed Interpreter (CI) on the ATA directory are getting calls for jobs. They will automatically become ATA voting members as of the next election, and get a Credentialed ribbon at the conference. To vote in the next election, you must have updated your status to voting member one month before the election. Please register for the CI designation promptly, because it takes a bit of time to process it. The details are here:

If you would like us to cover a topic, or would like to write about something, the editor’s contact information and blog author guidelines are right at the top of the sidebar on the website.

We are always available to answer your questions and support you. Let us know what we can do for you. You are the Interpreters Division!
