Happy New Year!

December 31, 2017 By IDwebmaster

[Christmas lantern]

The year is almost over and I must say that living thru the Thomas Fire definitely put a damper on the holiday season here in Santa Barbara.

Breathing in smoke and watching the ash snowing down all around us was not the kind of white Christmas I had in mind! But with the tireless dedication of over 8500 brave firefighters, the largest fire in California’s history is finally over 65% contained. Firetrucks were seen on the freeways the week before Christmas, taking exhausted firefighters back to their homes. After almost 4 long weeks, blue skies are here again, lifting our spirits, helping people get back on their feet and dust the ashes off in time to ring in the new year.

So if you’ve been wondering why we haven’t posted anything since early December, now you know why! We will soon resume bringing you interesting content, relevant articles, and of course welcoming your original pieces for future posts.

From the ID Blog team, Happy New Year! May 2018 bring much prosperity, peace and joy to us all!

Cheers,

Lorena
