JLD Certification Workshop
米国では3月28日（金)、日本、オーストラリアでは２９日（土）JLDによるATA認定試験ワークショップが開催されました。無生物主語や直訳などの翻訳の仕方、普通の日本語として読んだ場合きちんと通じるかなど、まだまだ勉強が足りません。訳抜けや余分な追加がないか確認することの大事さ、英辞郎の注意点、Goo国語辞書を参照することの勧めなども学びました。減点の方法も[1]よくわかりました。また、私は常日頃、一つの画面に原文を表示して、もう一つの画面でワードを開き、辞書なども開くので、一つの画面で受験するのは難しいと感じました。受験する際、受験環境に関する条件[2]を … [Read more...]

JLD文殊の知恵 「Tools for Translators in December 2024」感想文
今回の「文殊の知恵」は、翻訳者が普段使用しているツールがテーマで、皆さんから多くの有益な情報が共有されました。 セッションの前半には机、椅子、モニター、キーボード、マウスなど、ハードウェア系のツールが紹介されました。個人的に特に印象に残ったのは椅子です。翻訳者は長い時間、同じ体勢での作業を強いられるので、背中や腰への負担が少ない椅子は不可欠です。今回紹介されていた椅子の中には10万円を超える高価なものもありましたが、自分の健康寿命が延びることを考えると、必要な投資なのかもしれません。椅子の代替品としてバランスボールが紹介されていたので、私もクローゼッ … [Read more...]
