2024年12月の文殊の知恵は「翻訳者の生産性や業務を向上させるツール」をテーマに、ご準備くださった資料にしたがってツールを紹介くださり、くわえてツールに詳しい方々から補足説明がありました。 まず、ハード面でのツールでは机、椅子、モニター、キーボード、マウスやその他周辺機器の紹介がありました。 作業中の姿勢一つを取っても、皆さんがいろいろと工夫されていて興味深く拝聴しました。近未来的な形の機器は見ているだけでも面白かったです。立って作業をされる方のお話を聞いて、高さが自由に変えられる作業机とバランスボールでの作業を試してみたいと思いましたが … [Read more...]
JLD文殊の知恵 「Tools for Translators in December 2024」感想文
今回の「文殊の知恵」は、翻訳者が普段使用しているツールがテーマで、皆さんから多くの有益な情報が共有されました。 セッションの前半には机、椅子、モニター、キーボード、マウスなど、ハードウェア系のツールが紹介されました。個人的に特に印象に残ったのは椅子です。翻訳者は長い時間、同じ体勢での作業を強いられるので、背中や腰への負担が少ない椅子は不可欠です。今回紹介されていた椅子の中には10万円を超える高価なものもありましたが、自分の健康寿命が延びることを考えると、必要な投資なのかもしれません。椅子の代替品としてバランスボールが紹介されていたので、私もクローゼッ … [Read more...]
