The discussion was further developed by Lawrence Venuti and by Douglas Robinson in his book Translation and the Problem of Sway. Henryk Sienkiewicz’s novel Quo Vadis? is one of the best-selling novels of all time. The most well-known translations are by Jeremiah Curtin and Wieslaw Kuniczak. The sway of these translations is vastly different. How? Why? Let’s compare. What would you do?
