表意文字和表音文字之间的诗词互译，意义不大(if at all)，例如中文诗词是多维集合体，包括音韵甚至书法！这些东西如何转译复制？通过翻译让全世界了解并感受到中国诗词之美，仔细想想，可能吗？Mission (nigh) impossible!
但译诗是很好的练功法。翻译如猜谜。任何一句话，宇宙中一定存在”最佳译法”（这是无需证明的公理，因为”最佳”不一定”理想”），相当于灯谜的谜底，有的谜底是相当牵强的，但它比其他谜底更扣合谜面。译者的任务就是在虚空中寻找那个谜底或与该谜底”译效”相当的替代谜底。而译诗可以提高你的猜谜本领。
