About us

Established in November 1999, the ILD is a Division of the ATA, American Translators Association.
ATA, founded in 1959, is the largest professional association of translators and interpreters in the U.S. with over 10,000 members in more than 100 countries. ATA’s primary goals include fostering and supporting the professional development of translators and interpreters and promoting the translation and interpreting professions.
Our Division welcomes all ATA members in good standing, who are interested in professions connected to the Italian Language, namely translation and interpretation from and into Italian.
